TORONTO -- Corus Entertainment has named Athena Georgaklis as its director of content for TELETOON, where she’ll oversee content development, acquisitions and production for the network’s English and French channels.
The appointment, effective immediately, will see Georgaklis manage the TELETOON original production teams in Montreal and Toronto. She’ll work with Hugues Dufour, the production executive in Montreal, and Brandon Lane, the production executive in Toronto. Her scope of responsibilities will include TELETOON, TÉLÉTOON, TELETOON Retro, TÉLÉTOON Rétro, TELETOON at Night, TÉLÉTOON la Nuit and Cartoon Network, along with their respective multiplatform services.
Georgaklis has worked with TELETOON for the last 17 years. Most recently, she served as manager of original production for TELETOON, where she supervised the development and production of original programming for TELETOON and TELETOON at Night in English and French.
