Trio of New Broadcast Deals Announced for ‘Small Potatoes’

Little Airplane Productions announces an additional three more deals for its animated franchise, ‘Small Potatoes.’

 

Little Airplane Productions has announced three more deals for its Small Potatoes franchise which will see the smash hit animated entertainment film 1 x 45’ Meet the Small Potatoes air on ABC4Kids in Australia on Saturday, 4th October.  In addition Once in Mexico has also acquired the animated special which will air later this year and French language broadcaster TV5 Quebec in Canada have acquired the 26 x 3’ series.

Meet the Small Potatoes is an animated Rock Mockumentary written and directed by Little Airplane’s President, Josh Selig.  It stars the four Small Potatoes as well as the voice of legendary British actor Malcolm McDowell (Entourage, Clockwork Orange) as Lester Koop, the band’s manager. The film was screened theatrically in Los Angeles, Boston and New York and premiered on Disney Junior in the US.

The Small Potatoes series follows the adventures of a band of four adorable singing potatoes and helps young viewers learn about different styles of music.

The multi-platform property also features a dynamic international presence online where the extremely active Small Potatoes Facebook page has already achieved in excess of 1.85 million likes.  And the brand has recently announced a new initiative with soft toy manufacturer Animal Magic, which will see fans able to design their own plush Small Potatoes characters via a special app and have the toys created to order and delivered directly to their homes.  The app is scheduled to be available from October 2014.
