Trioscope Expands Leadership with Key Appointments

Former Mondo Media CEO John Evershed named chief strategy officer, while Taylor Church joins as vice president of production; announcement comes on the heels of a year of rapid growth and recent $5.25 million investment from BITKRAFT and Sony.

Hybrid entertainment studio and tech company Trioscope has expanded its creative team with two new hires. Animation veteran John Evershed takes the reins as chief strategy officer, while Taylor Church joins as vice president of production. The news follows a highly successful year for the content and technology house that has seen rapid growth including a recent $5.25 million investment from BITKRAFT and Sony.

Boasting 30-years in the industry, Evershed comes on board to help formulate and articulate Trioscope’s corporate strategy and trajectory, including corporate, project and slate financing, international co-production, and business development. An innovative entrepreneur across film, television, streaming and social media, Evershed advises several companies including Chonky, Mellow Manor and ZikVid, and is the author of the annual “Adult Animation White Paper.” He previously served as the CEO of Mondo Media, where he oversaw the channel’s formation on VRV - WarnerMedia’s SVOD platform. There he also produced multiple originals for a spectrum of networks, including Adult Swim, MTV, Syfy and IFC. Over the course of his career, Evershed received multiple awards for his creative work, including two Annie awards for Happy Tree Friends (G4) for Best Animated TV Series and the Berlin Film Festival’s award for Best Adult Animated Feature for Dick Figures: The Movie.

Church brings 10+ years of industry experience to her new role at Trioscope, where she supervises all facets of production from pre- to post-. Before joining the company, she was a longtime collaborator on Trioscope’s hybrid live-action/animation series The Liberator (Netflix). She spent several years at the School of Humans, an Atlanta-based multi-platform production house, where she produced countless hours of programming; spearheaded the podcast division; and was at the helm of the successful podcast Hell and Gone

“Taylor is an essential asset to the team; she’s had a seat at the table from the jump through her integral work on our first series, The Liberator,” noted Trioscope president Brandon Barr.

In addition to The Liberator on Netflix, Trioscope has recently finished production on the short film Night of the Cooters, produced by George R. R. Martin and starring Vincent D’Onofrio, who also directs. The studio has partnered with Dark Horse Comics, Oni Press, Netflix, and A&E Studios for unannounced projects and announced a television development and production partnership with major music powerhouse Quality Control.
