The Heat Vision blog reports that Mandalay Pictures has snatched up the rights to Boom! Studios’ comic UNTHINKABLE. Created by Mark Sable, the story follows a genius who is recruited after 9/11 to be part of a think tank brainstorming on other possible attacks. Years after the group is broken up, the imagined attacks start happening and the government goes after him.
Peter Guber and Cathy Schulman are the producers alongside Boom!'s Ross Richie and Andrew Cosby. Mandalay VP Adam Stone will shepherd for the studio.
In a bit of trivia, Sable was detained at LAX when airport security found an UNTHINKABLE script in his bag.
