Streaming studio will premiere Oct. 13 new Sid & Marty Krofft series based on their original 1970s series on Prime.
A new week brings news of another reboot; this time, for Sid & Marty Krofft’s 1970s kids series Sigmund and the Sea Monsters.
Amazon will premiere the series Oct. 13 on its Prime video service, and has released a trailer for the show.
The show is executive produced by Sid & Marty Krofft (H.R. Pufnstuf, Land of the Lost) with the pilot directed by Jonathan Judge (The Thundermans, School of Rock). Solomon Stewart, Kyle Breitkopf and Rebecca Bloom star alongside David Arquette (Scream, Jake and the Neverland Pirates). Sigmund and the Sea Monsters is directed by Ron Oliver and is executive produced by Sid and Marty Krofft and Stephen Engel. The series will also feature a cover of the original theme song, “Friends,” by The Roots.
