As we quarantine at home, doing our best to stay healthy and safe, AWN is trying to bring a little bit of artistic color to the monotony.
Hello all isolated artists! We hope everyone is healthy and safe, albeit a bit bored. Many of us are staying home, unable to work and go about our daily routines. We too are keeping our social distances at 6 feet or greater. Feeling the impact on our moods as well as our health and livelihoods, we want to provide a way for creativity and community to stay resolute as well.
AWN’s Becky and Wren have teamed up to bring a little bit of color to the monotony. They’ve launched #SocialDistanceAnimation as part of the #quarantineartclub initiative. We’ll be posting weekly prompts that hopefully inspire your creativity! Make a short animated piece and post it to Instagram using our hashtag. All styles, techniques, and tools – analog or digital - are welcome... let your imagination go wild! Working on something you can share? Post a snippet! Animation not your forte? Share a favorite character design. Your home is your oyster! Don't forget to tag @animationworldnetwork so we can see what you do! Every Tuesday we’ll post a new prompt for the week. We cannot wait to see what this community can do!
This week’s #SocialDistanceAnimation prompt is: Animals! They’re cute, cuddly, and sometimes annoying. Or mysterious, scary and dangerous! Make some art and share it using #SDAReflection and @animationworldnetwork so we can see!
