Glendale-based Netcomics plans to adapt Korean comic X DIARY into a feature film, reports VARIETY. The story centers on a cartoonist and a musician who stop their relationship to become "just friends."
Kalman Apple will direct the $10 million film. Kevan Peterson is penning the screenplay from Toma's graphic novel. Netcomics' VP Soyoung Jung will produce.
Production will start in October.
Netcomics is Korean comic publisher Ecomix Media's U.S. affiliate.
