New York Festivals' International Print & Radio Advertising Awards
This competition is devoted to the recognition of excellence in print and radio advertising. All achievements marketed, run or distributed after February 1, 1999 are eligible for the competition. Entry fee: $150-200. All winners will be featured on the New York Festivals web site and the top winners in the New York Times and leading newspapers and trade publications in the world.

The 29th Mobius Advertising Awards is a yearly event recognizing
outstanding television and radio commercials, as well as print advertising
and package designs. The competition is open to television commercials and
campaigns which have been produced, screened or aired in the past 12
months. The animation-related categories include: Animation-Computer,

Schoolhouse Rock creator David McCall dies
David McCall, creator of Schoohouse Rock, died April 18th in a car accidentnear Kukes, Albania, along with his wife, Penny, and RefugeesInternational's European representative Yvette Pierpaoli and the car'sAlbanian driver. The McCalls were en route from Tirana to Kukes, theprimary reception point for Kosovar refugees.
