AWN’s anime columnist Andrew Osmond looks at a new film streaming on Crunchyroll about a plucky group of female singers that tells a familiar enough story… with an intriguing twist.
The academy initiative was revealed during the Japanese electronics and entertainment conglomerate’s recent annual corporate strategy presentation, alongside plans for AnimeCanvas, a new animation production package utilizing AI, and greater support for the Crunchyroll Anime Awards.
Titles coming to the streamer include ‘Horimiya: The Missing Pieces;’ ‘The Great Cleric;’ ‘Rent-a-Girlfriend Season 3;’ ‘Am I Actually the Strongest?;’ ‘I’m in Love with the Villainess;’ ‘I Shall Survive Using Potions!;’ and ‘MF GHOST.’
Highly anticipated ‘Spy X Family’ series, based on the manga of the same name, will hit the streamer in 2022; other new series include ‘Aoashi,’ and ‘A Couple of Cuckoos.’
