AJA Touts Ki Pro in L.A.

AJA Video is half-way through a global tour to show off its award-winning Ki Pro portable device that bridges the gap between production and post. The Grass Valley, California-based manufacturer (which will soon have a new 70,000 square foot facility) was in L.A. yesterday at Gnomon and met with media on Tuesday.

MPC Completes Post for Toyota

Post Logic Studios Expands Film and TV Restoration Services

Post-production facility Post Logic Studios, a division of Prime Focus Group, have expanded their film and television restoration services. The company has been managing restoration work for titles such as HONDO and THE RULES OF THE GAME from their Hollywood facility, and has more than tripled its capacity for restoration work through its relationship with Prime Focus in Goa, India. Restoration projects are still managed and completed at Post Logic in Hollywood, however clients now have the cost-effective option of having film clean-up handled in India.

Hollywood Post Alliance Honors Dark Knight, Wall-E

Thursday evening, the Hollywood Post Alliance 2008 Awards were handed out, including editing wins for THE DARK KNIGHT, color grading for IRON MAN and audio post for WALL-E.

Per VARIETY, the HPA calendar ends early, meaning 2007 holiday releases are included with features released through summer 2008.

Elizabeth Daly, dean of the USC School of Cinematic Arts, was presented the first Charles S. Swartz Award that recognizes "broad and lasting contributions that have advanced and/or provided some unique purpose to the field of Post Production."
