From Marvel to Netflix, the studios behind a slew of series and films have both voluntarily and involuntarily halted filming as the strike hits its second week, with multiple studios threatening showrunners with salary cuts and potential legal action.
After the successful acquisition of Middle-earth Enterprises, which holds adaptive film rights for many of the famed author’s books, including ‘The Lord of the Rings’ and ‘The Hobbit,’ the media giant is set to create an entire new generation of films through the WB label New Line Cinema.
The series, currently in production in the UK, has added Gabriel Akuwudike, Yasen ‘Zates’ Atour, Ben Daniels, Amelia Kenworthy, Nia Towle, and Nicholas Woodeson, while the role of Orc leader “Adar” has been recast with Sam Hazeldine.
