On June 17th, I had the pleasure of speaking to the young inventors of the future - an engaged group of Chinese high school and college students - on “Our Interactive Future: Opportunities in VR and AI” at the China Museum of Science & Technology in Beijing, as part of the China Association for Science & Technology’s “Solve for Tomorrow” event.
Consistent with my belief that lack of understanding and lack of reflection are at the root of most problems we face, I designed the hour-long presentation to be accessible to the uninitiated while thought provoking for the geeks. Much as a blade can be used to kill or to cure, VR and AI cut both ways. The inevitable convergence of these technologies will supercharge the pros and cons, and raise the stakes of opportunities and challenges.
I’ve provided an outline of the presentation below. Those interested in hosting “Our Interactive Future” at their conference or school (in any part of the world) are welcome to contact me for further details: holler@kevingeiger.com
