The Visual Effects Society will be making a tour of India. Tim McGovern, Eric Roth and Peter Chiang will be visiting various cities to talk about the changing world of vfx in Hollywood. Initiated by N Madhusudhanan & Pankaj Kedia and organized by AnimationXpress.com, the tour starts with VES participation and presentation at NID Chitrakatha on Oct. 27, in Ahmedabad, followed by a special VES showcase and three-hour presentation at the IAD festival in Hyderabad. Special VES events for the visual effects community are then lined up in Chennai (Oct. 29), Bangalore (Oct. 30) and Mumbai (Oct. 31), followed by the VES top draw participating at the NASSCOM summit. The presentations by VES will include case studies, community messages as well as Indian studios VFX work showcase.
