Hi, everybody,
I'm looking for an application that allow me to use wecom tablet to draw directly and play the test, instead of by paper and scan.
Any application on Mac will do this? I've heard about "PencilTest", but seems like it has been discontinue, any clue?
Many thanks!
pencil test on Mac?
pencil test on Mac?
You should also check out 'the Tab', from the same people who make Toonz. An OS X version is available, and it's WAY better than ToonBoom studio imho. http://www.the-tab.com/
i tried this penciltest 1.0 but it is total crap
there is no x sheet and nothng, it just puts a folder of images into a quicktime movie.
still looking for a software
I would just use Flash if thats what you will be doing your final animation in anyway. You can use the paint brush tool and adjust the brush size and presure to the way you want it. Then you can export out a Quicktime to see how it plays, then adjust as needed.

Why not buy an old Windows PC just for line tests and try the Tapptoons linetester? It`s free.
Have a look at

This program is currently for Windows, but they're working on a Mac and Linux version. The beta test Linux version is out so hopefully the Mac version maybe out soon.
