Ok. After a lot of annoying learning....... here's my jumping trex. I know it's rough but I'd learned (almost) what I wanted to in this exercise.

Which leads to another question: In order to get the skeeter to look like it does a circle around the trex's head, I had to create two motion guided tweens. One above (layer level wise) the head elements that ends just before the flip, and one below the head elements to complete the path. Is there a better way to do this?

I'm including links to the swf and fla (just in case you'd like to critique my animation process. :))

Thanks for the help in getting this done.

Pretty cute, but I think I'd prefer to see the skelton done in more of stylized graphic manner. Maybe something you can work on in your free time.

As to the layer question you pretty much have to do it that way to pass around the skull. I can't think of any shortcuts to that.

Nice work. WRT the mosquito, you did it the way it has to be done. No shortcuts there that I'm aware of. Your only other option is to change the layer postion of the t-rex symbol, and that's just as kludgy. You might want to think about scaling down the far leg and arm just a touch. They appear to be the same size as the near ones, and perspective would make them look a bit smaller. You also might want to tint them just a little to help them stand apart a bit. Since you're using the same image for the back and front limbs, you have to come up with ways to make it clear which is nearest us.
