It's a parody, rather than a ripoff. It follows the adventures of a lone animator in indentured servitude, IIRC, forced to turn out a classical music feature. The animation in it is terrific, and some of the sequences are very funny. The sequence parodying Rite of Spring shows all life on a planet springing forth from the remnants in a Coke bottle.
Dang; now I gotta dig out my VHS copy and watch it again.
