2024 Quirino Awards Finalists Announced

The Oscar-nominated animated feature ‘Robot Dreams’ leads the competition in 3 categories for the Ibero-American Animation Quirino Awards 2024 Edition; winners to be announced May 11 in ceremony on the island of Tenerife.

Pablo Berger’s Oscar-nominated Robot Dreams leads a selection of animated projects representing seven countries selected to compete at the Ibero-American Animation Quirino Awards 2024 Edition. The announcement of winners takes place May 11 at the Leal Theater in San Cristóbal de La Laguna on the island of Tenerife. Spain topped the list of finalists with 16 projects in competition, followed by Brazil with seven, and three from Chile. Argentina, Mexico, and Portugal each had two selections, and Colombia had one.

  • Sultana’s Dream by Isabel Herguera

  • The Paradise by Fernando Sirianni and Federico Moreno Breser

Best Series

  • Annie Rose’s Critter Camp Season 1 by Andrés Lieban & Alessandro Monnerat
  • Jasmine & Jambo Season 2 by Sílvia Cortés
  • Poor Devil by Joaquín Reyes, Miguel Esteban, and Ernesto Sevilla
  • Sex Symbols by Paloma Mora Iñesta and Alex Cervantes
  • The Wild Hotel of Ana Flor by Andrés Lieban and Alessandro Monnerat
  • The Nutty Boy Season 2 by Michele Massagli and Beto Gomez.

Best Short Film

  • Lulina and the Moon by Marcus Vinicius Vasconcelos and Alois Di Leo
  • Almost Forgotten by Miguel Lima and Dimitrije Mihajlovic
  • To Bird or Not to Bird by Martín Romero

Best Animation Music Video
