Peter Iliff (PATRIOT GAMES) has been hired to transform the AMERICAN GLADIATOR game show into a feature film property, reports VARIETY. The film will transform the American Gladiators into superheroes. TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES's Scott Mednick will produce with GLADIATORS creator Johnny Ferraro exec producing. Plans are to have the film ready by 2011.
