The 6th edition of Animadrid was organized with the purpose of fostering the film and audiovisual arts by promoting independent animation productions and providing an assembly point for artists and audiences in the international community. ANIMADRID 2006 will hold its regular four competitive sections:
* Official competitive section of international feature films. Films of more of 45 minutes of running time, produced after the 1st of January 2005. * Official competitive section of international short films. Films less of 45 minutes of running time, produced after the 1st of January 2005.* Television programs. For television programs and episodes of animation series with a running time of no more than 60 minutes. Only one episode per series will be admitted.* National promo contest made by animation schools. Promos with a running time inferior to two minutes in any animation technique. The subject of the promos is free but the purpose must be directed to promoting the festival.
The deadline for submissions for the official section of international short films, television programs and National promo contest is June 25, 2006. For the official section of international feature films, the deadline for submission will be July 15, 2006.
