Animation historian and beloved longtime AWN blogger Nancy Denney-Phelps has released her new book, “On the Animation Trail, 20 Years of Animation Festival History,” which features front and back covers by Joanna Quinn.

Nancy and her husband Nik are both deeply involved in the animation world, and travel the globe seeking out the freshest, most interesting and unusual animated works.

The new book charts the unique recent history of animation festivals, from Annecy, the oldest animation festival in the world, to Beirut and the founding of the festival in Peja, Kosovo. During her extensive travels, Nancy has recorded not just the films screened, but also the people and what makes each festival unique.

On the Animation Trail is available for preorder now, with 20% off for a limited time.
