Organization’s Animation Educators Forum awards $44,000, distributed evenly to 11 students, to support continuing education in animation; funds defray costs of software, hardware, creative and academic research, and tuition.
ASIFA-Hollywood’s Animation Educators Forum (AEF) announced 11 graduate and undergraduate scholarship recipients from eight states and three countries – selected from 96 applicants. The total scholarship funds ($44,000), designated for the 2023-24 academic year, will be distributed evenly to cover costs for necessary software and hardware, creative and academic research, and tuition.
The AEF scholarships are merit-based and designed to support college students in continuing their education in animation. Students’ written proposals, letters of recommendation from faculty, and demo reel/still art are considered in the selection process.
The 2023-24 AEF Scholarship recipients are:

ASIFA-Hollywood, the largest chapter of the Association Internationale du Film d’Animation (International Animated Film Association), supports various animation activities and preservation efforts through its membership. Current initiatives include the Animation Archive, Animation Aid Foundation, Animation Educators Forum, animated film preservation, special events, scholarships, screenings, and the annual Annie Awards.
