Press Release from HIT Entertainment

1 September 2011, LONDON: HIT Entertainment, one of the world’s leading independent children’s entertainment producers and rights owners, and Haynes announce the launch of the Bob the Builder Owners’ Workshop Manual which is available to buy in stores from today, 1 September.

Bob the Builder fans can now find out just how their favourite machine characters, including Scoop, Roley, Dizzy, Lofty and Muck, ‘get the job done’ in this all-new Haynes manual.

Full-colour cutaway drawings show what’s inside all the machines as well as explaining how the machines work, what they do, and how they help to build and repair things for the people of Fixham Harbour. Plus, fans can learn about hydraulics, caterpillar tracks and more in the regular fact files, all with the attention to detail expected from Haynes Manuals.

Katie Price, Senior Director of Worldwide Publishing for HIT Entertainment said: “We’re delighted to have teamed up with Haynes once again to launch a workshop manual for Bob the Builder. In 2009 we launched a Haynes manual for another HIT Entertainment brand, Thomas & Friends, and this proved hugely popular with fans. We are confident this new manual for Bob will be equally well received.”

Jeremy-Yates Round, Managing Director, Haynes Publishing added: “The classic Haynes Manual is well recognised and much loved by many a motorist. In recent years we’ve enjoyed great success with manuals on fictional vehicles, giving the Haynes treatment to everything from Thomas the Tank Engine to Star Trek’s USS Enterprise. The new Bob the Builder Manual gives children and adults alike an insight into how these inventions might actually work.”
