UK-based Platinum Films appoints Carl England as the company’s new managing director.
UK-based Platinum Films CEO Nigel Stone has appointed Carl England as the company’s new managing director, according to a report by Kidscreen.
England joins the company from toy manufacturer Jakks Pacific, where he served as head of international licensing. He has also held senior licensing positions at Disney, Timberland and Canterbury.
In his new role, England will be spearheading the licensing and merchandising rollout for Platinum’s Matt Hatter Chronicles boy’s franchise, which is scheduled to launch in 2014. The TV series is currently broadcast in more than 80 different countries.
