‘Chicken for Linda’ Now Streaming on The Animation Showcase

The award-winning animated film is now accessible on the streaming platform for free worldwide for industry workers and students, alongside a set of ‘making-of’s and featurettes.

Chicken for Linda, winner of the Annecy Festival Cristal in 2023 and of the César for Best Animated Film in 2024, is now accessible for free for industry workers and students worldwide on The Animation Showcase streaming platform, alongside a set of ‘making-of’s and featurettes.

Directed by Chiara Malta and Sébastien Laudenbach, Chicken for Linda follows Linda and her mother Paulette, in a quest to cook pepper chicken in the middle of a protest. Born out of the collaboration of French production companies Dolce Vita Films, and Miyu Productions, the animated feature was released by GKIDS in theaters earlier this year.

The Animation Showcase streaming platform is a film industry-only hub, curating the best animated shorts and feature films from filmmakers around the world. The platform previously screened the 3-time Oscars nominated animated documentary Flee and A24’s Oscars nominated stop-motion feature Marcel The Shell With Shoes On.

The platform is accessible on any browser, but also on Apple TV devices and Roku. The Animation Showcase will also launch an app for Amazon’s Fire Stick.

Industry members and students can easily join the platform by following the portal and providing a valid proof of work. Visit the sign-up portal here.
