Dollhouse Moved to Fridays, New Animation Not On FOX Schedule

FOX's just-announced midseason schedule has a few surprises -- Joss Whedon's DOLLHOUSE has been moved to a sci fi block, airing Fridays after TERMINATOR: THE SARAH CONNOR CHRONICLES.

Also, the Sunday night "Animation Domination" only includes current shows THE SIMPSONS, KING OF THE HILL, FAMILY GUY and AMERICAN DAD, with no sign of in-the-works FAMILY GUY spinoff THE CLEVELAND SHOW and SIT DOWN, SHUT UP, which were both tentatively scheduled to premiere this spring.

TERMINATOR and DOLLHOUSE will premiere at 8 and 9 p.m. ET/PT respectively on Friday, February 13. DOLLHOUSE reunites Whedon with Eliza Dushku (BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER), who stars as a member of a highly illegal underground group of individuals who have had their personalities wiped clean so they can be imprinted with any number of new personas.

FRINGE, the No. 1 new series of the season among Adults 18-49, will air in its regular time period Tuesdays (9-10 p.m. ET/PT) after AMERICAN IDOL starting January 20.

DOLLHOUSE had been scheduled to air behind the anticipated return of 24 on Mondays. Moving it to the lesser-watched Friday does not bode well for the freshman series.

As announced earlier, 24 returns with a two-night, four-hour season premiere Sunday, January 11 and Monday, January 12 (8-10 p.m. ET/PT).
