The Student Animation Showcase highlights final projects from animation graduates across the country. The primary focus of the showcase is to create a venue for celebration and exposure of the accomplishments college graduating animators and for industry recruiters to screen student work, from colleges and universities, to enhance recruitment opportunities.
ASIFA-Hollywood sponsors and supports the AEF and contributes funding to assist with its development, faculty grant funding and student scholarships.Last year’s Showcase brought together educators and animators, featuring contributions of 21 schools, presenting a total of 133 short films. “Our goal this year is to expand our roster of participating schools by extending invitations to even more educational institutions,” says Michael Bonitatis, chair, AEF Student Animation Showcase. “AEF is committed to ensuring that the showcase serves as a platform for students to showcase their talent and create meaningful relationships within the animation industry.”
