FGT3D ‘New Adventure’ Challenge Winners Announced

Working from the prompt ‘Adventure is worthwhile in itself,’ 3D artists worldwide created their own ‘new adventure,’ telling their stories through 3D renders; six winners - three professional and three student works - received various prizes from event sponsors.

Fox Renderfarm has announced the winners of the 9th edition FGT3D New Adventure Challenge, which invited 3D artists worldwide to share adventures. Participants worked with the prompt “Adventure is worthwhile in itself” and were encouraged to work freely and creatively within the theme and tell their stories through 3D renders.

Winners receive prizes from the challenge’s sponsors, including Chaos V-Ray; Chaos Corona; Hum3D; iCube R&D Group; iToo Software; Raysync; Pilgway; Rebelway; TopoGun; Graswald; Evermotion; E-on Software; The Gnomon Workshop; InstaLOD; C4Dzone; Rizom-UV; and Renderhub.

The jury selected six winners, three professional and three student works.

Winners in the Professional Category:

1st Place:

“Small World, Big Adventure” by Lee Dodd - Lost in a world of wonder, the boy sets sail on a leaf-boat, guided by the light of his tiny lamp.

2nd Place:

“An Unforgettable Adventure” by Deepak Jain - Finally, the day arrived when I could immerse myself in the captivating underwater world. As I descended into the depths, I was astounded by the colorful fish, vibrant corals, and breathtaking formations. The beauty of this hidden realm left me speechless. It was an unforgettable adventure that words cannot fully capture, forever etched in my heart.

3rd Place:

“Humanity Gone” by Petri Matikainen - What will replace us?

Winners in the Student Category:

1st Place:

“Homeward” by Ryuga Tjew - After sailing through night and day for almost a month with his dad's classic boat, Chief Martin Brody finally arrives on a small and unmonitored island where he spent his childhood. While his history has not been fully revealed, it is noted that Martin experienced a near-drowning incident at some point in his childhood, leading to his fear of the water, but now he has conquered it.

2nd Place:

“Unknown Worlds” by Felipe Ribeiro - Fantasy worlds may not be real, but you can reach them through your imagination.

3rd Place:

“Hogwarts Library” by Giorgi Lezhava - 3D scene showing Hogwarts library inspired by Hogwarts legacy game.
