FOX Ups 3 Marketeers To SVP

FOX Broadcasting Co. upped creative marketing exec Rafe Oller to svp, creative marketing and branding, while Brian Dollenmayer and Scott Lauritzen have both been promoted to svp, On-Air Promotion.

"These promotions are in clear recognition of the stellar job Rafe, Brian and Scott all do in their respective areas of responsibility," said Roberta Mell, evp, marketing, to whom they will report. "Rafe has over 15 years experience in entertainment advertising, brand identity and design, and his knowledge and creative talent will help both the FOX advertising staff and the on-air team to maintain and enhance our consistent standard of excellence. Mell went on to say, Brian and Scott have both been instrumental in the success and growth of FOX. Their sensibilities permeate every aspect of the networks on-air promotional campaign, and I can't imagine two more talented individuals in the field. We are very fortunate to have them on our team."

In his new post, Oller will head up all print advertising and design staff as well as all on-air interstitial (seamless branding) programming and design. He is also responsible for creating a company think tank of both internal and external constituencies, designed to review all the networks current and future design, branding and advertising programs.

Oller joined FOX in 2000 as director of Special Ops (primetime branding) and was promoted to vp/cd in 2002. He came to FOX after a three-year stint at USA Broadcasting. Prior to that, he spent several years in production at film and television companies targeting the Spanish-language market worldwide.

In their new posts, Dollenmayer and Lauritzen will oversee all administrative and creative aspects of on-air promotion for FOXs primetime programming. Dollenmayer came to FOX in 1994 after serving local market stints in Indianapolis and Columbus, where he was an Emmy-winning writer/producer. He was responsible for the launch of Party of Five and the final seasons of MELROSE PLACE and BEVERLY HILLS, 90210. For more than two years, Dollenmayer served as director of drama promotion, creating launch and on-air promotional campaigns for such FOX programming as Ally McBeal and BOSTON PUBLIC. He has served as vp, on-air promotion since June 2001, and was responsible for the launches of FOX hits BERNIE MAC and THE O.C.

Lauritzen joined FOX in 1992 from Los Angeles station KTLA, where he also received an Emmy as a writer/producer. Since joining FOX, he has developed on-air campaigns for THAT 70s SHOW, MALCOLM IN THE MIDDLE, THE SIMPSONS and KING OF THE HILL. In 1998, he was director of comedy promotion and was promoted to vp, on-air promotion in June 2001.
