Freitag Launches Animated ‘Tarp Blanche’ Campaign

Five animation directors from Zurich to Argentina tell the Freitag story from truck to bag the way they see it.

Freitag -- the company that upcycles used tarps and banners into nifty messenger bags -- recently commissioned five animation directors from Zurich to Argentina to tell the Freitag story from truck to bag the way they see it. The result is “Tarp Blanche,” a series of animated shorts employing radically different storylines and styles.

Two of the shorts -- from Swiss-British director Neil Stubbings and Argentina Gabriel Agustin Freire -- have been released online, with three others -- from Beni Morard & Frederic Siegel (Czech Republic), Vik & Nes (Denmark/U.K.) and Burcu & Geoffrey (France) -- still on the way.

Stubbings’ Truckin’ is done in classic Looney Tunes Cartoons style, combining a moving story about brothers with a great coming-of-truck drama:

Freire’s Flythrough showcases a bold, graphic style amid continually shifting camera angles:
