3D-animated feature is a co-production of German animation studio Ulysses Films, Luxembourg-based Fabrique d’Images and Danish animation studio A.Film Production.
Germany’s Global Screen has acquired extraterrestrial 3D-animated film Luis and His Friends from Outer Space, according to a report by Variety.
The Munich-based sales company will start preselling the film at the European Film Market in Berlin.
Luis tells the story of an 11-year-old boy who makes friends with three loveable little aliens who crash their UFO into his house. In return for Luis’ help in finding the home-shopping channel stuff they came for, they save Luis from boarding school -- and an exciting adventure follows.
Christoph and Wolfgang Lauenstein wrote and directed the family feature, which promises “hair-raising mix-ups and unexpected twists.” Currently in preproduction, the movie is planned for delivery in late 2017/early 2018.
The feature is a co-production of German animation studio Ulysses Films, Luxembourg-based Fabrique d’Images and Danish animation studio A.Film Production. Ulysses Films previously produced Niko & the Way to the Stars. A.Film is the producer of Miffy the Movie. Fabrique d’Images previously teamed with Method Animation on The Little Prince series.
