Paul Greengrass has exited 20th Century Fox's remake of FANTASTIC VOYAGE, reports Deadline.com. Greengrass had been in negotiations to direct the James Cameron produced film, but has decided to focus on Warner Bros.' SHERLOCK HOLMES-like TREASURE ISLAND adaptation instead.
Deadline.com said the BOURNE director isn't inked a deal on ISLAND either though, because he's still working with producer Lionel Wigram to land a screenwriter.
Shane Salerno penned the redux of VOYAGE.
