Germany’s INDAC hosts a Masterclass, “Producing Independent Animated Film,” with animation producer Max Howard February 14 & 15 at the Games Academy in Berlin.
COLOGNE, GERMANY – INDAC, the International Nights and Days of Animation Cologne, is an annual festival devoted to every aspect of animation, including its history, past and present, and its future. The festival, which receives support from the Cultural office of Cologne and the University of Cologne, takes place at the Cinemathek at the Museum Ludwig, the University of Cologne and various other cultural venues throughout the city.
Next week INDAC hosts, for the first time ever, a February 14 & 15 Masterclass, "Producing Independent Animated Film,” with animation producer Max Howard, who created and ran studios for Disney in London, Paris, Orlando and Los Angeles, working on some of Disney's most memorable films including Who Framed Roger Rabbit, The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin and The Lion King. As President of Warner Bros. Feature Animation, Howard oversaw such hit movies as The Iron Giant and Space Jam. At DreamWorks, he was co-executive producer for Spirit, Stallion of the Cimarron.
To mark the Berlinale presentation of DreamWorks Animation’s The Croods, co-directors Chris Sanders and Kirk DeMicco will also be on hand for an exclusive 40-minute Q&A session. The Masterclass will be held in English at the Games Academy in Berlin.
