‘John Wick’ Director Chad Stahelski to Helm ‘Rainbow Six’

Michael B. Jordan reprises his role as Navy SEAL-turned-CIA operative John Clark from ‘Without Remorse in Paramount’s adaptation of the Tom Clancy novel, this time with a hoped-for theatrical release.

Chad Stahelski (John Wick) will direct Paramount’s feature film adaptation of the Tom Clancy novel Rainbow Six, the follow-up to 2021’s action thriller Without Remorse. Michael B. Jordan will reprise his lead role as Navy SEAL-turned-CIA operative John Clark.

Remorse served as an origin story for Clark’s character; the film is not well known as it premiered on Prime Video in 2021 instead of theaters due to COVID-19. This time, Paramount intends to release Rainbow theatrically, “although final decisions won’t be made until later in the moviemaking process,” according to The Hollywood Reporter. No plot details have been released for Rainbow, although it would be fair to assume it will follow the events from the novel. Spy hijinks and what not!

While the VFX team has not been announced for Rainbow, Remorse visual effects were handled by Pixomondo.

Jordan will produce with Elizabeth Raposo under the duo’s Outlier Society banner. Akiva Goldsman and Greg Lessans will produce for Weed Road Pictures as well as Josh Appelbaum and Andre Nemec for The Saw Mill. Stahelski will executive produce under his 87Eleven Entertainment alongside cohorts Jason Spitz and Alex Young.
