MIPCOM News: Sunwoo And NWF Team On Animal Series

Sunwoo USA and the National Wildlife Federation (NWF) are offering WILD ANIMAL BABIES, a 26 half-hour animated and live-action series with interactive elements to screen at MIPCOM Jr.

Based on the magazine of the same name, WILD ANIMAL BABY, the mixed media show employs animated hosts to guide kids and their families through exciting adventures to explore and learn facts about animals and nature. The hosts include Joelle the hippo, Tajo the frog and Kaya the koala. Each show contains two 11-minute interactive segments.

Sunwoo USA will also be presenting to MIIPCOM buyers THE NIGHT B4 CHRISTMAS, a 30-minute adventure/comedy animated special. Completely told in verse, the story follows the adventures of a young elf named Elvin (Spears) who quits working for Santa and leaves his job at the North Pole to pursue his dream of becoming a pop music icon. Along the way he changes his name to Slim Shorty, hooks up with a dog named Pup Daddy and girlfriend Jel-O and an Irish lawn gnome named Seamus. Together they form a crew and rap their way into the music business.

A notorious producer named Mr. Saul takes note of the crews talent and signs them to a contract. When Elvin learns that a virus has struck the North Pole and Santa will have to cancel Christmas, he rallies his crew to return to Santas workshop and save Christmas. However, Mr. Saul has other plans and sets about to thwart Elvin and the crews efforts.

The English language version gets a boost from some very talented comedians and music artists who provide the voices. Aries Spears, (MAD TV), Paramounts next feature film comedy star Earthquake, and Chali 2na of Universal Music Groups hot hip hop sensation, Jurassic 5, highlight a talented ensemble cast that keeps the laughs coming.

THE NIGHT B4 CHRISTMAS is an original story conceived by Brian E. ONeal and Sib Ventress, and was exec produced by ONeal, Sunwoo USA svp and Jae Moh, Sunwoo USA president.
