Monstra Animated Film Festival is a meeting and convergence point of animation film and other media and arts. Not forgetting the cinematographic character of animation film works, but instead reinforcing its essence, Monstra is a space of experimentation mixing new movements, forms and artistic proposals, where animation is presented as a creative, narrative or aesthetic expression made relevant by its interception with art.
-- The deadline for submission is January 15, 2009.-- DVD, VHS or miniDV are accepted for selection purposes. No registration fee is required.-- For screening, the festival requires 35mm, Beta SP PAL, DVD or D V.
Student Short Film Competition -- Works completed after January 1 2008 will be accepted.Feature Film Competition -- Works completed after January 1, 2007 will be accepted.
The Categories in Competition are:-- Best International Student Animation Short Film-- Best Portuguese Student Animation Short Film-- Best International Animation Feature Film
