New Poster Teases ‘Good Omens’ Season 2 – Room for One More?

The unlikely angel and a demon duo greet an unexpected guest in the entirely original six-episode season from co-creator Neil Gaiman, premiering July 28.

Get ready for company! The Good Omens official Twitter account has just revealed an all-new poster for the upcoming Season 2 of the series, teasing the arrival of a new main character with the caption, “Just tea for three and three for tea.”

Originally based on Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman’s international best-selling novel, Good Omens 2 explores storylines that go beyond the original source material to illuminate the friendship between Michael Sheen’s Aziraphale, a fussy angel and rare-book dealer, and David Tennant’s Crowley, the fast-living demon.

As we already know, Jon Hamm’s Gabriel will be making a much larger and more important appearance in the upcoming season when he unexpectedly arrives at the door of Aziraphale's bookshop with no memory of who he is or how he got there. While Crowley is leery, Aziraphale is keen to solve the mystery behind Gabriel’s condition. However, hiding the archangel from both Heaven and Hell quickly disrupts their lives in unforeseen ways.

Also reprising their roles are Doon Mackichan as archangel Michael and Gloria Obianyo as archangel Uriel. Returning this season in new roles are Miranda Richardson as demon Shax, Maggie Service as Maggie, and Nina Sosanya as Nina, with new faces joining the misfits in Heaven and Hell: Liz Carr as angel Saraqael, Quelin Sepulveda as angel Muriel, and Shelley Conn as demon Beelzebub.

Season 2 VFX vendors include Chicken Bone FX, Clear Angle Studios, EGG VFX, Milk VFX, and Powerhouse VFX.

Neil Gaiman continues to executive producer and co-showrun alongside executive producer Douglas Mackinnon, who also returned to direct all six episodes. Rob Wilkins of Narrativia, representing Terry Pratchett’s estate, John Finnemore, and BBC Studios Productions’ head of comedy Josh Cole also executive produce, with Finnemore serving as co-writer alongside Gaiman.  The new season is produced by Amazon Studios, BBC Studios Productions, The Blank Corporation, and Narrativia.

All six episodes of Good Omens season two will be released exclusively on Prime Video on July 28. The first season streams now on Prime Video.
