New Southwest Arts, Film & TV Confab Focus on HD Production

The new Southwest Arts, Film & Television conference is offering a special section for HD production and has panels and exhibitors of interest to film & video professionals engaged in producing television programming for cable and broadcast, commercials for local and national audiences, feature films, corporate video production, documentaries, animation and special effects, infomercials and music videos. The conference runs June 4-6, 2004, at the Dallas Convention Center in Dallas.

Conference director Peter Caranicas, editor of BELOW THE LINE, has organized panels with broad-based appeal. Topics include: Making Commercials: High-Def and other Smart Ideas; Supersession with HD Superstars: Technology and Entertainment Break Wide; Good Neighbors: Shooting in the Southwest; Final Cut Pro Workshops with Diana Weynand; Independent Filmmakers Roundtable; Music and Sound: Audio Tunes In; Production for Business and the Private Sector; The Essence of Story and the High Concept Idea; The Ins and Outs of Designing your Home Digital Studio; Legal Advice: Intellectual Rights and Negotiating Distribution Deals and The Art of Funding Your Film.

Attendees can see HD films and demonstrations on the HD EXPO Theater screen sponsored by BEXEL. Offsite parties and screenings round out the progam.
