In preparation for the U.S. release of its second CG-animation feature, South Africa-based Triggerfish Animation Studios has unveiled the first official film trailer for Khumba.
Distributed by Millennium Entertainment, Khumba arrives in theaters and VOD on December 6. Triggerfish’s first animated feature, Adventures in Zambezia, was released in 2012.
Directed by Anthony Silverston, Khumba tells the story of a half-striped zebra who is blamed for a severe drought by his superstitious herd.
He leaves his home in search of the magic waterhole where legend has it the first zebras got their stripes and meets an array of wacky characters in an unforgettable adventure to earn his stripes.
The film boasts an all-star voice cast including, Steve Buscemi, Laurence Fishburne, AnnaSophia Robb, Jake T. Austin, Loretta Devine, Catherine Tate, Richard E. Grant, Anika Noni Rose and Liam Neeson.
