LOS ANGELES –

A hit at the 2013 International Animation Film Festival underway this week in Annecy, France, the documentary feature Persistence of Vision is headed to Los Angeles.

The film, about visionary and acclaimed animator Richard Williams’ (Who Framed Roger Rabbit) ongoing quest to complete his long-gestating animated feature The Thief and the Cobbler, arrives at the Cinefamily Silent Movie Theater on June 27, with three additional dates: June 29, July 1 & 2.

Striving to make the greatest animated film of all time, Williams toiled for more than a quarter of a century on his masterpiece, only to have it torn from his hands. Filmmaker Kevin Schreck has woven together mind-blowing animation, rare archival footage, and exclusive interviews with key animators and artists who worked with Williams on his ill-fated magnum opus to bring this legendary story to the screen. A tale of art, obsession, and dreams, Persistence of Vision is the untold story of the greatest animated film never made.
