Los Angeles, CA – PipelineFX announced the release of ArtistView GUI for Qube! Utilizing a simple-to-understand interface, ArtistView brings the power of queue control, project updates and render previews right to the artist with little or no training required.
“Artists shouldn’t be overwhelmed by any aspect of the production process,” said Richard Lewis, CEO of PipelineFX. “They should be able to easily manage any step that affects their work. ArtistView GUI puts the full strength of the render pipeline directly into the hands of content creators, so render farms can shift from a mystery in their workflow to a sweet spot for productivity.”
With ArtistView GUI, artists can now manage and troubleshoot their rendering jobs in an extremely fast and simplified environment that caters to users working on VFX, post, broadcast, design or student digital media projects. Through the new interface, users will be able to see a full breakdown of current and planned jobs, the estimated completion times, a log history, and rendered frames previews. They will also be able to exercise complete control over the queue whether that means they want to block a job, kill it, re-attempt, or sort it for more efficient results. A user can even scrub through rendered frames right inside the GUI.
The best part for artists might be the flexibility ArtistView offers them. Since it’s built with PyQt, it is highly customizable, which allows users to create their own tabs in html, text and OpenGL. The Python-based plug-in architecture, an industry-standard coding script for VFX teams, will provide even more opportunities for simple customization on the fly.
“PipelineFX has been delivering powerful render farm management functionality to large feature film and game studios for over a decade,” added Lewis. “ArtistView GUI for Qube! allows us to take the very same technology used by Digital Domain and EA and make it accessible to CG artists and students. PipelineFX will be demoing ArtistView GUI and the latest version of their render farm management program Qube! 6.3 at NAB 2012 in booth #SL-13717.
Pricing and Availability ArtistView GUI for Qube! is free and available for download now. This download is only accessible to PipelineFX customers with subscription plans, and requires Qube! versions 6.0 and greater.
