Rainmaker announced today (Dec. 4, 2006) that former Mainframe ceo Rick Mischel will now serve as an exec producer with a first look deal at Rainmaker. Rainmaker recently acquired Mainframe Ent. Mischel was instrumental in the sale of the company and will moves into his new role immediately.
Im excited about the opportunity to return to a more entrepreneurial, producer role with the newly combined company, said Mischel. With the sale of Mainframe to Rainmaker, I accomplished my goals for the growth and long-term viability of Mainframe, and Im glad I can continue to contribute to the merged companies success.
Mischel will exec produce several of Rainmakers slate of projects, as well as bring in new projects for a first look with the new company. He will continue to be based at Rainmaker in Vancouver.
Mischel will further develop and exec produce ATOMIC PUPPET, GHOST HUNTER DAX, MOONSURFERS and continue shepherding HARRIET THE SPY, as well as develop a number of feature and direct-to-DVD projects.
