Sanjay Das, formerly director of R&D at DreamWorks Animation, has joined Tippett Studio as CTO. Prior to Dreamworks, he was the director of Research and Engineering at Loudcloud/Opsware and before that spent nine years at HP in various management and worldwide leadership positions.
Das joins recently hired head of production Denise Minter, whose previous experience includes stints at PDI/DreamWorks and Starz Ent. Further enhancing Tippett Studio's R&D group are several talented engineers from Tweak Films, the San Francisco-based visual effects company, which recently narrowed their focus to IP creation.
"With this kind of executive power, Tippett Studio is ready for the next step in its corporate evolution," said Jules Roman, president of Tippett Studio. "We can leverage not only the artistic and creative strengths of our great employees but also provide a strong but flexible organizational structure poised to take advantage of every opportunity in filmed entertainment."
