While not confirmed by official sources, Instagram insider CanWeGetToast claims Sony has appointed Seth Rogen as writer and producer for an upcoming R-rated Venom animated film.

The currently established live-action Venom trilogy starring Tom Hardy is set to conclude later this year, so the potential new film would fill the franchise void. No word yet on plot details or who will animate.
Rogen is no stranger to animated superhero films, with his 2023 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem spawning a sequel and TV series, which are already in development.
