Zack Snyder has again shared new stills and behind-the-scenes looks from his upcoming ‘Justice League,’ including the Jared Leto’s Joker in a crown of thorns, a gloomy Batman, a snap of Mera, and Cyborg sans VFX.
Zack Snyder is really trying to get our attention. The surprise inclusion of Jared Leto’s less-than-loved (possibly loathed) Joker in Snyder’s Justice League caused quite a stir, and the photos keep coming. This week’s Joker reveal is once again black and white, this time depicting the Clown Prince as…Jesus Christ. Looks like he’s the Holy Clown Prince of Crime now. Snyder also shared a gloomy photo of Batman, a snap of Mera, and a behind-the-scenes look at Cyborg.
In a recent interview with Vanity Fair, Snyder assures us once again that the Joker will not be the one we experienced in Suicide Squad, but rather a “vision” seen by Batman as a possible alternate Darkseid reality. This makes the absolutely surreal mismatch of medical garb and a crown of thorns much more understandable.
Zack Snyder’s Justice League premieres March 18, 2021, on HBO Max.
