The most successful film in the history of Japanese cinema finally debuts in North America in a newly dubbed version supervised by Pixar's John Lasseter. Directed by Hayao Miyazaki, SPIRITED AWAY follows the fanciful adventures of a little girl named Chihiro who discovers a secret world when she and her family get lost. When her parents undergo a mysterious transformation, Chihiro must fend for herself as she encounters strange spirits who seek to prevent her from returning to the human world. The film premieres on September 20, 2002 in ten cities across North America: New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, San Francisco, Toronto, Philadelphia, Boston, Washington, DC, Seattle and Minneapolis. The film will expand to Atlanta, Dallas, Denver, Detroit, Houston, Phoenix, San Diego, Vancouver and Montreal on October 4, 2002.
