Visual effects veteran Steve Dellerson has joined LOOK Effects Inc. Hollywood as Exec Producer for feature film production. At LOOK, Dellerson will promote additional growth and provide guidance to the company's creation of motion picture visual effects. Dellerson's experience in vfx production, from shooting through digital post processes, will enhance client communications and support production efficiency across LOOK's simultaneous productions.
"Having key staff members like Steve, who are thoroughly knowledgeable with visual effects and digital post has proven effective from the first moment we begin conversations on new projects. It's a perspective that allows us to team with our clients more efficiently from the bidding stages to managing the details involved throughout production." said Mark Driscoll, LOOK's President.
Dellerson sees LOOK as another positive step in his career path explaining, "I'm directly involved with production again in a more hands-on role by providing direction to LOOK's production teams in meeting each clients goals." He most recently served as director of business development and Visual Effects Producer with Cafe'FX , where his credits included IRON MAN, THE MIST, GHOST RIDER, and SIN CITY, among others. Prior to that Dellerson was an independent visual effects line producer and started his film career in 1988 at Dreamquest Images.
LOOK Effects has been busy on both coasts since opening a New York studio providing services to East Coast productions. LOOK's recently completed feature film credits include TRAITOR as well as three upcoming December releases. On December 19 THE WRESTLER, Darren Aronofsky's critically acclaimed drama, which was awarded the Golden Lion for best film at the Venice Film Festival, debuts along with Jim Carrey's latest comedy YES MAN. LOOK's contributions to Frank Marshall's visually stylized THE SPIRIT, based on the Will Eisner comic book series is set to open on December 25. These will be closely followed by CROSSING OVER with Harrison Ford and Sean Penn, set for a January 9 launch.
