NEW YORK – Marking the first time Shazam has been available to Syfy viewers, Syfy and Shazam, the world’s leading mobile discovery provider, today announced that the mid-season finale of Eureka and season two finale of Warehouse 13 will feature the Shazam logo on-air and offer viewers who tag the episode special programming content.
During the Friday, September 10 episode of Eureka at 9PM (ET/PT), and Warehouse 13, which will air on Tuesday, September 21, at 9PM (ET/PT), Shazam users who tag these shows on their mobile devices will have access to special programming content that can only be seen through Shazam, such as sneak peeks of the Eureka and Warehouse 13 holiday episodes which will premiere in December. They will also have the opportunity to enter a sweepstakes at syfy.com for Warehouse 13 and Eureka prize packs.
The Shazam logo will be embedded into the program so that users can tag the show at any point during the broadcast to get the customized tag result. The promotion will be available to Shazam users who have the App installed on the iPhone, Android, BlackBerry or Windows Mobile platforms. It will also be available on Verizon, Nokia and AT&T devices that offer Shazam.
Shazam has more than 75 million users worldwide, with over 20 million of these on the iPhone and iPod touch, and recently announced that it is now adding more than one million new users every week.
