Press Release from TELETOON
(Toronto, ON, April 19, 2011) – TELETOON is putting the pedal to the metal thanks to a promotional partnership with Hot Wheels that sees branded, on-air spots on the network throughout the month and a microsite on www.teletoon.com driving to hotwheelslive.ca. This pairing offers TELETOON viewers the opportunity to find out how to enter for great prizes and giveaways from Hot Wheels.
The current promotion on www.HotWheelsLive.ca centres around the “Hot Wheels Eat My Dust” contest giving TELETOON viewers the chance to win great weekly Hot Wheels Prize Packs as well as a chance to win the grand prize trip for four to this year’s Indianapolis 500®. It is at this 100th anniversary Indy 500® race where a masked mystery driver from Team Hot Wheels™ will attempt the outrageous – speeding down a 90 ft. ramp, suspended on an enormous 10-story high door (100 feet tall) and soaring across the infield of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Viewers can visit www.teletoon.com for contest and grand prize details.
On-air support for the campaign includes six Hot Wheels-branded “rewind spots” created in-house, featuring a memorable thrilling vehicle experience from episodes of TELETOON’s Johnny Test that will air during the series’ commercial breaks in April. TELETOON at Night’s Sunday, post-10 p.m. “Fred at Night” programming block will feature humourous, unscripted and improvisational Hot Wheels-themed segments with host Fred Kennedy until May 1, 2011 – culminating in a Twitter-based contest for a chance to win Gold Grandstand Tickets to this summer’s Honda Indy Toronto.
The on-air campaign will also include contest and tune-in spots on TELETOON and lower thirds during TELETOON at Night’s “Fred at Night” programming block.
