Charlize Theron has joined the cast of Ridley Scott's space epic PROMETHEUS, reports ComingSoon.net. She joins Noomi Rapace and Michael Fassbender in the 20th Century Fox production.
Originally penned by Jon Spaihts as an ALIEN prequel, the new story has been reworked as a standalone by Damon Lindelof and Scott. Scott is producing with David Giler, Walter Hill and Tony Scott
Fox has set June 8, 2012 for the film's release.
