Tim Burton in Talks for 'Beetlejuice 2'

Director Tim Burton is in talks to return to the world of his 1988 classic, Beetlejuice.

Director Tim Burton is in talks to return to the world of his 1988 classic Beetlejuice, according to a report by The Hollywood Reporter.

Burton reportedly has the offer from Warner Bros. to direct the movie, on which he is already a producer with David Geffen.

The latest draft of the script is by Seth Grahame-Smith (Dark ShadowsAbraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter) and David Katzenberg. Michael Keaton is expected to reprise his role for the sequel.

Burton’s next film is an adaptation of a Ransom Riggs' young adult novel, Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, for Fox. That movie has a release date of July 15, 2014.
